Wincanton to shed jobs

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7824358.stm

you got to ask is it worth joining new agencies
they themselves will be going next

dont wish me well in 2009

Interesting as I called Wincantons today (Daventry) and spoke to a guy called Stuart. He said to send in the cv as they will be looking later in the month. Could be ZB to get me off the phone I s’pose.

From what ive heard, they dont make alot of money in the chilled goods part, so sold most of it or all of it? to culina logistics? and as culina have depots up the down the country, they are closing some the of the ones they dont need, brockworth being one of them.

can’t really blame em if the jobs not making owt… :open_mouth:

The long and short of it is that Culina took over the chilled work but didn’t need or want the depots at Brockwoth or Trafford Park.
