I used to go to their yard at Peterchurch nr. Hereford on Saturday mornings to service Scania units for them. At that time (early 70’s) they had a large fleet of contract hire Scania’s, there was also a few old Atki’s and KM 6 wheeler Bedfords at that yard.

Hello sorry to jump in ,been reading this with intrest I remember quite a few of the old williams bros drivers. In denbigh. Big glyn 7 ft. Tudor Nash. (Holywell). Bob (anthea). Lez Hughes (ruthin). Len evans(LLANDYRNOG). Drove wagon and drag. Medwyn (bontuchel). Geraint(cow catcher). Eric. Bernie. Ivor (with the pipe)livestock manager. Trevor (big t). I remember them carrying aluminium. Rio tinto (anglsey aluminium). Also from st Asaph. And ruthin markets. To north Devon meats. Great bunch of lads. I used to go down to Devon from ruthin market after school on a Friday for a night out loved every minute of it normally in Volvo or scania the odd time in daf 2800 turbo inter cooler ,and with small Bedford up to Llanrwst carrying pigs to uttoxeter market.
