just wondering what they are like to work for now,
are they still same as they used to be years ago, do they pay any better, do they employ english drivers etc and what work they do.
i dont want to know what they used to be like just what they are like now.
I can only give you an idea as I am now an ex-Betz driver.
They do employ British drivers,but the majority of the work is UK,driving on the Toyota contract.
Most of the drivers are through an agency,though a few work directly for Betz.
Only two or three drivers do euro work,and then only Holland,Belgium & short trips to Germany.
The last time I spoke to one of the UK drivers he told me they are on roughly £8 ph.
They insist on driving legally.
The ministry were on their backs a few months ago as the trucks were running on dutch plates,this is being changed and the trucks are to be UK registered.
