surely your company could jsut agree to pay you a little less to get you in the lower tax band. I mean I wonder how many people earn £149.999 per year to stay away from thr 50% rate
Just so we understand: The higher rate only applies to what you earn above the threshold, so if you earn £150,100 you will only get £50 of the extra £100.
You’ve got to earn it to pay it.
