Simon Scrivin has a MAN van converted to have a fifth wheel on the back and a trailer.What’s the point of that? He will only be able to carry a few more very light pallets or boxes in that over a rigid version and not be able to access as many delivery points that vehicles of that weight normally do.
I chatted to a guy on tunnel with a mini artic, was a down rated tractor to 3. 5t from 6.5t, so built for an 11t train already.
It was used a lot in Swiss so advantages were they could run in Swiss on a Sunday, no toll box in Swiss or Belgium, tunnel was much much cheaper as a van & trailer.
