No

But don’t let it stop you trying to misrepresent an opinion you’ve deliberately sought from an insurer to try and make people believe it to be the case.

Eh?

Yes it will.

The insurance company will take the completely reasonable approach that any driver in charge of a vehicle that requires the driver to hold a LGV licence will not be considered properly qualified unless he/she also holds a current DCPC qualification.
Obviously this wouldn’t effect existing licence holders who qualify for grandfather rights until the deadline next September.

Not according to the article linked above…

Responding to an enquiry from Truckingtopics, the company said: “If a claim was made where a driver didn’t have a required Driver CPC it would not void the insurance.

However they could decide to cancel future cover which is not the same thing as “void”

What if it wasnt been driven for profit ie mobile libarys and trailers with computers for local authority work.the driver would not need a cpc
