Mentioning 38T Atkinson Leader, did the two or three of these that were in the Gordon Stamper auction several years ago now, ever get restored? Does anyone know?
Wild’s Motors also had plenty of work from British Arkady, Skerton Road, Old Trafford, Manchester.

I think Jenks had all twin steer ERF’s, well known as flying machines.

I think that the Skerton Road mill has long gone and Arkady products are imported from Germany. The massive Mothers Pride bakery (the original one for that brand) was next door and when the bakery closed in the early '80s Arkady used the former flour silos for storing soya beans. Was the delivery you did at Seaham Harbour to Snowden and Bailes bakery?

They went for scrap, Graham, regrettably, although they were slightly earlier 32T Rear Steers. Still one or two in Rush Green, in about the same state
