Wifes Licence

Just discoverd the wife forgot to change her name and address on licence when we got hitched 6 years ago will she get probs changing it now like a fine ?

she should go to the post office and get a d1 form and fill it in before she gets pulled. otherwise
she will get a fine.

I know this might be difficult for a woman but just tell her to fill the form in and SAY NOTHING!

In that case she is in for a fine

Should be OK. Not a good idea to get caught by the feds until its changed mind!

Shes a woman she will got off with not getting a fine, off topic but the other day this woman had parked her car right on a corner of a junction on double yellow lines, Mr plod pulled up had a look got the old book out and started writing out comes little blondy and all of a sudden all is okay. Two blokes were stood outside the bookies and had exactly the same thought as me if it was a bloke they wouldn’t of got away with it

Still if I was the copper might of got her number in an exchange for not writing the ticket HOT :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

Ah, could mean an automatic divorce and you will have to remarry her !!!

Are we talking driving licence or marriage licence?

The address is a legal issue, you are obliged to inform DVLA when you move. The maiden name isn’t an issue, a woman is not legally obliged to take on her husband’s name after marriage, if it was otherwise you could be sure that Churches and Register Offices would inform DVLA as a matter of course.

So she can keep her name as it is to save herself another trip to the Post Office when you get divorced

Her address won’t change since it’s you who will have to move out of course - also she will get to keep the car
