Any idea where this can be found on a lorry? The past 2 lorries I’ve driven I can’t find it… Found the plate with the weight on… I want the width and length to put into my satnav.

max W 2.5 metres ish
max H too high
rigids 4,6,8 wheelers
max L 12 metres
max W 2.5 metres ish
max H as above
fifth wheel 1250mm - 1270mm
Okay cheers. Didn’t know if it would be in the lorry somewhere. Thanks
Fridges can be wider, 2,6m.
Every fridge I’ve driven has been the same width as a standard trailer.
Yes fridges normally are wider. It would be a squeeze to get pallets in if not.

Tsk, and who says the DCPC was a wasted opportunity?

Not all are wider but they are allowed to be to account for 45mm insulation while maintaining the internal load width.
And given that a standard trailer could legally be 2.55m wide it’s only going to be 25mm a side extra for the fridge so not that noticeable.

Why would anyone measure every fridge or body they drive ?

Saves any embarassment in case a narrow bridge is encountered
Oh, and remember the maximum width excludes mirrors.
we have between 350 and 400 fridges all specced at 2.6M width.i thought was the norm now but could be wrong

I think most fridges would be specced to 2.6m, to give the maximum allowable load space. The only reason I can think for not doing so is if you needed a particularly narrow trailer for some reason, and then I doubt you’d be specifying that at 2.55m.
And theres me thinking we were all 8ft 2 inches lol

Because they weren’t put on the earth as a gift from God, and they’re not the source off all wisdom. Unlike some of the muppets that inhabit this forum.
Sound like anyone familiar??
