OK I’ve been driving class one for a couple of years now but have just started with a new firm where i will be running wide loads for the first time, well as wide as this anyway these things are just over 4m wide.
so whats the rules?
what do i need to know?
The law states that if you see an orange lorry with B&Q on the front you have to pull over and let him past…Honest

The main thing YOU need, are the wide load authorisations, for each police authority you will be passing through. Your boss should have all that sorted out ready for each load, though we used to run with permanant wide load authorisations. Anything you need to know, you’ll get information off your work mates and your boss. Have a look at this link, its not easy to read, but it is the legal requirements.
Other than that, forget B & Q wagons, you’ll be passing them anyway
