I know that us “truckies” can use lane 3 to overtake a wide load, BUT is a wide load allowed to overtake us in roadworks? i,e narrow lanes.
Had a rigid with a mobile home on its back overtake me through roadworks taking out lanes 2 and 3. Limit was 50 and i was doing 52.
Yep, they’re above the Law, in fact you should pull over & give them the road, allow them free passage no matter what. [emoji12]
Depends on the roadworks. Some have a sign for wide loads to straddle lanes 2-3 if lane 1 is about to go down to hard shoulder only for example.
