Depending which way you go, it can take longer :unamused:

Why not ?

God help us

Coincidentally that’s exactly what I think every time you post.

Do as your told, don’t query it, your paid by the hour, load up, night out, get up breakfast then stop, when pointy shoes rings up, explain that your waiting for your booking time as instructed,

You’d have thought that working all that time for Stobarts he’d have worked that out by now.

He’d even have time spare to bash a few bridges along the way

4 words doze.
Paid hourly, win win.

I had the gross misfortune of Tesco Livingston last Saturday, told 1300 book in, found it was 1630.
Coffee on, book out to read on bunk, then half an hour on Trucknet winding up Jakethesnake  …, AND on premium rate…what’s not to like.

(Although my ‘‘premuium rate’’ could be much better if I’m honest. )

Happy days if you’re salaried, park up round the corner from the delivery point and have a lay in or better find a pub and have a few cold ones and enjoy the extended rest which I’m sure makes up for the reduced rest you must get at times.

It may surprise a stobart driver but you could park up for more then 9hrs?

I parked at 1pm today and wont drive off till 4am. Last week I parked up at midnight and didn’t move till 4:30pm.

Nah you’re wrong mate.
It’s compulsory to have either 9 hours max rest (or 11 hours max when you can ‘‘get them in’’) after driving to last possible minute of your 9/10 hour drives, followed by maximum shifts whenever possible, and parking in lay bys at all times.
Do you not understand drivers hours rules ffs. :unamused:

That’s not the point dozy.

When someone in the office in Milton Keynes phones or emails the company in Kettering to get a booking slot, Kettering won’t look and think oh it’s only down the road so we’ll just stick it in there. They will book in a slot that’s available and a slot that suits them for when they need that particular stock that you are taking to them.

It could be coming from the same estate but if there’s no available slot until 17 hours away then they won’t book it in any sooner.

Very rock and roll…at least it’s an upgrade from the usual “mankey orange”

Why indeed Dozy ? You’re nearing retirement age so why are you doing this to yourself ? Jesus wept you need to have a serious talk with yourself if even half the crap you post is true :unamused:
