This morning m6 shut north j24 on radio every 5 mins signs telling you. So please explain why drivers car and truck are still trying to join m6 north at haydock brining the area to a standstill.
You can obviously even see the motorways not moving…your insist on trying to get on eventually then have come off again.
Why o why join a motorway that’s obviously closed.

Thing that gets me is I’d say 80%of the traffic is probably local comuting to work. And really should know other ways to get to work
There are no matrix signs on the East Lancs Road leading to the junction at Haydock Island, so no warning of the motorway being closed. And seeing the motorway backed up with traffic during rush hour isn’t exactly an unusual sight.
If you need to be on the M6 northbound then there are other ways to get to it. A49 to Wigan, M57 to M58, or M62 to M61. But these routes are only any use if you’re heading as far north as Preston or further, if not then it’s a hell of a diversion.

Granted there is no signs on east lancs.
But most people.seem to have Google maps running in there car widow. All the local radio stations were reporting it.
Then you approach haydock island can see traffics at a standstill. The islands at a stand with traffic trying to join a non moving m6.
Your sat at a light that changes 4 or 5 times and you haven’t moved surley common sense tells you somethings wrong.
But no you all sit there move about 1 car length and sit and wait and wait.
Can’t work out why people do that .
Common sense tells you this traffic hasent moved for about 10 mins. Yet other lanes n roads seem clearing so obviously there’s an issue

Paid by the hour. Sit there all day if needed. 69 plate wagon with a fridge and a great sound system…
I rarely avoid traffic (unless I’m going home)
Then again I’m on hourly rate.
Reckon I must be ‘‘plain stupid’’…or am I ?
