Why the attitude to class II drivers?

I’ve noticed the complete opposite. I actually get flashed in in my Micra; yes, a Micra. It’s always artics that flash me in too. I always give them 2 quick blips on the right, then two quick blips on the right

It all depends on wether you drive your Micra in split skirt, stockings and low cut top. If you’re a fella dressing like that I’d still flash you in! Eyes not so good these days.

What did surprise me on Friday was getting flashed out by a car BEFORE I put the indicator on :open_mouth:

i am doing my class 2 soon but being in hgv`s all my life i have learnt to read the road so often do this as i no how much of a struggle it can be to get back up to speed

I find the mainly flash at me at night rather than during the day

did you mean “manly”?

I always flash the lights to any lorries. Some of them ignore it, carry one for a while, then suddenly comes back front of me without indicating…

TruckOff:

They flash in the artic that overtakes them, but won’t flash in a rigid.

I find that when i drive a rigid, because of its shorter length, i dont really need to be told when im clear of the artic. i expect this is why you dont get as many flashes as you would like.
i dont even flash artics or coaches that have passed me at a comfortable speed. and im sure they dont expect or need it.
in my opinion, there should be less of it, all you see at night, is wagons in both directions flashing everything that overtakes someone, and this often blinds you. some drivers leave there high beam on for ages!
it always amuses me when i see wagons flashing in vans and small cars vans that have overtaken them, some can be traveling at almost twice their speed, and they still flash them in. why?
do you need to be flashed when your driving your car home, where will it all end?

If they have let me out, i s’pose its polite

If they have let me out,

This was my point ^^, everyone flashes everyone.
They have not let you out you were pulling out because you were overtaking.

But i agree, good manners cost nothing. so it seems rude not to acknowledge their good intentions :unamused:

You in a micra or a truck?

Are the engines in a Micra made out of sewing machines, they do 40 mph on the motorway, not safe to be on fast roads in my opinion.

I have been driving class 2s for a few years now and have never noticed any bad attitude , but then again i dont care if anybody did not like what i drive :unamused:

I’m in a truck, but if I was driving a micra I would do the same.
