I used to deliver into DHL Bawtry.
The Drivers seem to spend a lot of time waiting for
a load or a unit but they seem to be a well paid happy bunch.

I now work for dhl(well jlr at solihull but employed by dhl) I got a knackered old unit (Ec11 which goes like stink in reverse and has a duff high range but looks smart) and i also got my own uniform as supplied stuff didnt fit me very well and the boots are crap…oh i also do nights 4 nights a week and its well paid but like its been mentioned you are just a number and only ones who know your name are the ones you work with all week long…
oh and yes i agree all the other units are mercs and have starship miles on them even 2 year old units are getting tired as they are driven 24/7 even trailors are 24/7…H&S is rubbish as well as even a very minor cut you are drug and drink tested before they even get a plaster on your finger as 1 bloke found out last week when he cut his finger on a curtain strap(he tried to hide it but a supervisor noticed it bleeding a little)

it really is an art… and most drivers seem to have gotten it beautifully honed, right down to a f***in’ tee

They are the only company I have blacklisted and refused to work for anymore. Run by a bunch of bloody amateurs.
