Never had a problem with the Skoda really nor the Daf or the old S reg ERF but I didn’t like the Iveco

Not sure I could hate a vehicle as such.
I do not like the Scania because as a piece of equipment for doing the job, it is uncomfortable, unstable when fully laden in comparison to other vehicles (Unit) and just designed badly as regards the driver operating it.
There is a job local to me with weekend work, which is what I prefer, but as it is a Scania only fleet, I won`t even walk in the door to enquire, the thought of spending long periods of time in a Scania is too much for me.
I don`t hate them though, just prefer not to use them.

scanias r like mercs get the proper 1 eg v8 and there both great tools especially now muppets at scania have put bed back behind seat if u think there bad u wanna try some of these n.american crap 
Ive never heard anybody say they hate scanias,way overpriced yes,if they knocked a few notches off the price tag the roads would be full of um,that saying they hold their money is ok if you have got the money in the first place,there a status symbol more than anything in my eyes,fair play

We had several 13/14 plates for 7 months, couldn’t wait to get out of the darn thing, horrible gear box, uncomfortable seats, non existent sound insulation, terrible suspension, floppy frames, bouncy cabs, useless mirrors and an interior that hasn’t been upgraded since the 80’s
Overpriced, overrated Skoda, couldn’t wait to get back into a proper Swedish truck.
I don’t hate Scanias, just hate to drive the pieces of rubbish. They are 20 years behind what is available on the market today.
Can anybody remember when drivers were putting claims in against scania for the seats giving them bad backs,there were a loads of drivers at asda had claims in and refused to drive um,i wonder if anybody ever won owt 
I don’t hate Scanias, I just don’t get why they’re so expensive. And why do people in V8s with the silly graffics on the sides of the cab like revving their engines in services?
I wouldn’t swap my Daf for a Scania, the Daf bunk is too comfy.
Nothing wrong with Scania particularly it’s the knob-ends that aspire to driving to them.
I done a couple of nights out in an R series and I found it very uncomfortable. For the size of the cab you think they would be able to make the bunk a bit wider.

Nobody can argue with those points. They are Swedish dinosaurs(were Swedish, now German owned made in holland), and before anyone says “if it ain’t broke etc etc” I say if that was the view taken, we’d all be still carving rocks into wheels.
The engines are good, as for the cabs, i find the old 110.111.140.141 etc were the bees knees, but the suspension was crap, the R series have very uncomfortable seats, the sun visors allow the sun to blind you, the bed is small compared to other makes, just dont like them at all, However a DAF ticks all my boxes even the little CF has some good points…The new mercedes is nice, as is the Volvo, the Man is not so clever but is better than a Scania comfort wise, Renault have always had good cabs, but are let down with the power,Iveco is full of problems, but when they work theyre ok so theres my twopence worth.
