My christmas shifts are on railway maintainance. The site I’m on has a posession of the line from 01.00 on christmas day till 06.00 on the 27th. The truck driving part will only be about 30 mins on xmas eve and 30 mins on 27th, the rest is operating the access boom for the 12 hrs shifts

We have lorry mounted access platforms and booms. With a bit of luck the linesmen will have their operators ticket and I’ll be adopting the position in the cab

Working christmas eve till 20:00 got the 25/26 off then working upto 20:00 new years eve then just new years day off.
Shame no one ever wants a coach on the 25/26
They do, airport never closes. 1 of only 3 jobs where I’ve worked xmas day. Airport coach driver (taking aircrew to their hotels and planes), recovery driver (people break down 365 days a year) and taxi driver - best time of year to do it, mostly families, mostly happy, nice job.
If you’ve got a taxi/minibus firm near you and you want to work xmas day, give them a buzz, I used to do it on my psv licence (16 seater) or an airport parking place might be open
