Who's working Christmas day?

Which of us fine upstanding professionals will be serving the public Today

I am tipping cream in Westbury this morning, don’t know what I’m doing after this yet but finish tomorrow for two days off then back in over the new year…

In the right job, wish I was… :imp:

You seem to get all the cream jobs.

sorry, couldn’t resist

Running off this afternoon to Llandyrnog (Denbigh) to do a tank swap. Then tomorrow taking it down to our yard at Purfleet and picking up a fridge to bring back to Immingham.
No extra money as I’m salaried 4 on 4 off!!!

Have a read of my post on the ‘‘That’s it thanks for the fish’’ thread, and that will tell you why that is. :bulb:
My sympathies bud, but I personally would not to Christmas Day, let alone Christmas Day for any less than time + …

Someone’s started early!

Ironic really - I had 25 years of working silly shifts over every Bank Holiday (including Christmas etc) during my own “young adult” years and through all the time that my kids were growing up. Now that the kids are grown up and I have no particular inclination to go out on the town myself I have a job which doesn’t (usually) involve working Bank Holidays…

I know, how sad on bloody Tnet Christmas morning  …but you know I love winding people up :smiling_imp: , and I haven’t said anything that aint true.

Just putting time in waiting for my daughter (my little baby) coming round with her boyfriend :imp: , so I’ll.save the wind ups for him…just to have a good pop and mark my territory …show him who is the Alpha male :smiling_imp:
Got a case of Boddingtons with my name on it to help me.
Have a good day yourself…son.

Edit; forgot to say he’s Scottish, so I’m sat here with my England shirt on with the telly/Sky plus on pause just before the time Gazza scored ‘‘that’’ goal against Scotland Euro 96, to put on, …just as he walks through the door, to set the mood.

Not working today but picking up my unit tomorrow and bringing it home for a wash/ polish and check over ready for weds…not really much else to do though :frowning: might as well keep occupied…
BTW- merry xmas and a happy new year everyone…

My woman is hard at work cooking Christmas dinner for her man. I would offer to lend a hand but I’m busy, beer doesn’t drink itself.

Although we had our Christmas dinner last week (on account of not all my sons being available on the day itself), I cooked that and I’m also cooking today’s roast beef. Can’t leave such important stuff to the lady of the house, whose skills lie more in cakes and pastries.

Anyways, I’ve pretty much perfected the art of creative cooking with red wine - I sometimes even put a drop in the food

The first time I used the cooker at home I broke one of the knobs off and the first time I used the washing machine I broke that too. So I’m banned from the kitchen. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I never did any cooking (aside from the odd fried breakfast) until about 10 years ago. Once I started, I got hooked on it…

I don’t keep a dog and bark myself.

Sounds like the traditional Christmas day punch up waiting to happen, don’t forget you’re getting on a bit now mate (all wind and ■■■■) so watch yourself

At my sisters, it’s her first time hosting. On the way there I saw a Baxters Walking floor heading the other way. Hope he’s on at least triple time.

All this planning goes out the window if it turns out he wears skinny jeans, shirt buttoned to the top, big glasses, crap beard and doesn’t know what football is.
