Who’s truck factory was on Boscombe Road Dunstable ■■

Two seconds on Google says…

Did you mean: Whose truck factory was on Boscombe Road Dunstable?

Nearly 6,000 people were once employed at the vast Vauxhall plant in Boscombe Road, Dunstable, making Bedford Trucks. The factory had been built during the war as an addition to the Vauxhall works at Luton, and it was hugely expanded in the 1950s.

That’s that answered so who had a truck factory over the road from Vauxhall car plant at Luton

There was a Chrysler factory in Dunstable that made Dodge and Commer commercials.
It was latterly taken over by Renault trucks.

For some reason I’m thinking it was Bedford (or possibly Scammel?). Bedford would be my first guess.

Did AWD use the former Bedford plant?

I seem to remember renault having something around there but I could be getting muddled up with the renault truck dealer nearby.

Yes the factory was there.

I used to deliver seat belts from Kangol Carlisle around 1980 to car factories, from places in Linwood.in Glasgow, down as far as Southampton, and including Vauxhall and Bedford Luton,…and Chrysler Dodge/Karrier Dunstable,.where they made this 50 series model at the time and others.
