Whoops

On the way home from work I go under this bridge. In a Berlingo it’s okay-in a Currie European artic,a 14 foot plus tall artic ,it’s not.

I am casting no aspersions here ,but it is left hand drive and the number plates don’t have a GB sticker on them.
Poor ■■■■■■■ though-this bridge gets hit a lot.

Thought maybe the trailer had been bought from Thornaby haulier Trapezium Transport.

Least its got slightly less drag now with the sloped front

Nah, you’re wrong there. Got to keep 'em close coupled to stop the air swirling in that gap and creating drag! I’d try it as an excuse though… :grimacing:

All he has to do is back up to the bridge and push it straight again no one will know the difference. Simples . :unamused:

Good thinking bat man

At least after he as tipped he can come back the same way

Curries taliban squadron :unamused:

In eu land the max is 4m. It’s only uk that’s so greedy.

Would a 4.1m bridge be classed as low

I think it’s a case of a foreign unit with a british trailer. Lithuanian plates would say the driver was used to 4 m trailers—does a trailer swap within uk,to a 14/15 foot high truck-then forgets. Sees a 4.1 m marked bridge and thinks he’s ok. Clearly not.
It was fully loaded as well.

i would saay more historical thank greed
4 metre is a rule of thumb for euro land
as its not law in every country France Belguim for instance

oh on the subject of greed they run at 4 metres
but with mega spec giving 100 metre cube
