Whoooops - truckmags again!

i remember reading a few months ago in one of the mags (probably trucking?) all about alan lodge tankers - now this week in CM he’s lost his o-licence but is applying for another to carry on as a sole trader (go figure?)

can’t remember if they were on the cover though

I was going to buy a Turboliner 340 about 15 years ago, and they used one of his motors on the brochure. He also ran some mercs. I phoned him up and he was an OK sort of bloke, not snotty or standoffish. After the conversation, I told Renault merci non and bought a merc.

alan lodge has some cracking looking trucks real beautys and they always have a sticker on the back wanting drivers.

It seems a well turned out fleet JD, but if theyre allways wanting drivers, it might be a bit of a spurs job!

I went for a job there a good few years ago and the money was below average so I didn’t bother. Probably not much better today if they have to constantly advertise - allus a good sign of crap money on offer :bulb: .

it’s alan lodge partnership that has lost it’s licence.
run by alan, christine and gary lodge.
alan lodge has applied for a licence as a sole trader and has been granted interim authority.
gary lodge failed to attend the hearing and so his good repute is deemed to be forfeit, both christine and alan lodge have had their good repute severley tarnished.
there were 60 hours offences including false records offences committed by just seven drivers and it was suggested that the firms pay structure was behind the tacho offences.

thats reasuring to know when they are following you on the motorway at 56 mph with 28 ton of toxic crap. :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

i hope your not reading it the wrong way - it’s meant to read 60 hours offences and not 60 hours offences.

ok a bit better 60 x single hours offences not 60 hours driving without a break hours offences.
