Here we go again - better early than late, unless it’s Tescos and they send you away, so that by the time you’ve queued back in again you ARE late….
Typical week for me, trying to talk to operators, failing to pin people down, panicking about stuff I’d forgotten needed doing…yawn…

No at home on holiday
Been about this week, Ripon, Leeds, Heysham, Birkenhead, Newcastle-under-lyme, stone (jobs worths), near Dudley, Haltwhistle, Teesport, yo name but a few!
Bristol, Bicester, Namur, Chemnitz, Brno, Budapest, Nadlac and Brasov today finished.
Wed 8am start….A couple of locals….an extendable trailer no less, 20+ years since I had one of them,.’’trombones’‘ as we called them then.(maybe still do) so I had some fun doing a blindside reverse on site with it.
Loaded my usual run, park at Stoke.
Thurs….1 drop an Army camp in Wilts, 2nd drop Cullompton, 3rd Honiton…..met a mate, night out Spoons Honiton.
Fri…Paignton, then across to Roche in Cornwall.
Up to Avonmouth,.strapped my loaded trailer for morning….(got effin soaked to skin btw…again.)
Park Avonmouth, kick off this morning 5am, collect trailer, back in yard about 2…….44 hours this week.

Had a shower , car all packed up ready to go , next door , do you know your front tire is flat 
, why do you never notice it in the morning , wheel nuts bloody nightmare to get open
Bloody unreal rob , I did if I remember right about 8 hrs Thurs & still ended doing 58 hrs + 3 1/2 hrs in breaks , nigh on 62/63 hrs
I’m going to query this though , never noticed it before , but it seems to show I’m meant to be doing 41.15 hrs pw , and it looks like someone has signed to say that’s what I’ve done ,Strange going on,s

Same old trunk route everyday. Time for a change I think.
Yep I reckon that sort of work would bore the arse off me big style whatever the wage……especially with my low boredom threshold.
I’d rather do a full weeks tramping than 2 consecutive days on a regular trunk….but we are all different/each to his own etc etc.
Somebody said to me just today …’Why don’t you get a day job and be home everynight’ (as if nights out were the devils work)
I could not think of anything worse….especially the hours you are expected to work daily then home just to start it all again the next day.
Fufillrd a purpose at the time I took the job but things change.
Sainsbury’s Charlton , then pallets out of there & back to yard apparently , another rob shift 
, good job as struggling to walk from lorry to srvs toilet & with the shoulder getting worse struggle to get arm in jacket , who’d be old
