Im in full time employment & have been for years, although I m now in my notice period of redundancy
Still driving though for other different employers as & when because they hadn’t got enough work to take me on full time.
Also do some agency work.
Currently, Full time on general haulage/tautliners sometimes they make us do Palletline Multidrops
Working back- I’ve driven 8 wheel RoRo’s, 8 wheel front end loaders, skips & dustcarts, artic ejectors (on rubbish & recycling)
Artic flats with moffet on the back, grain tippers.
Rigid & artic fridges (learnt to drive Artic’s in my Brother in Law’s Iveco pulling a Fridge 1992)
Worked for about 15 years loading machinery & car conveyers onto/into containers, crates, tilts & even transit vans.
1st lorry I drove was a 7.5t D Series Ford with a ‘Horrible Gear Lever’
Did 1 year as a motorcycle courier mostly in the ‘Smoke’ 1981(where I broke my leg in Fleet Street )

Full time line chalker for VOSA in Tesco RDC’s to enable drivers to take undisturbed rest breaks.Had a really busy year.Loads of overtime.
I’ve put part time as I only drive comercially occasionally now. Have 17 yrs class 1 exp from curtains and flats to powder tankers.
Currently work on railway maintainance where truck driving is a small part of the job. We have 17 and 26t truck thatcan travel on the tracks, so do some driving to get them to and from the job.
