Who is hiring after the new year, any company, any agency, any area please?

My mate was laid off of Savona Foodservice (Oxfordshire) over Christmas. The excuse was they can’t afford the promised pay increase without making savings.
Yet they’re still advertising for drivers. 
Driver Hire are spread about the country if you want £8.50/ hour, under their lucrative umbrella scheme. Ideal if you want some of your work “cancelled” and given to someone else “because it’s fair to everybody.”

Most on here are helpful but give them a ■■■■■■■ chance FFS. An idea of location, licence, experience/tickets (ADR&etc) type of work, days, nights, tramping, multidrop, trunking…

come on lads give the guy a chance - he asked for some help and gave a vague idea of what he wanted which is driving anywhere on anything, and no one can help?
then he shows he has a spirited attitude by replying (which has taken time he doesn’t have sat at home not working) to you all with further input.
there must be someone somewhere with a truck desperate to employ this chap given the time and effort he has put in thus far, not to mention the obvious customer service skills he could utilise at customers.

I’m assuming you’re a newbie at the game.
Reckon you’ve just blown any chances of most on here wanting to help you out bud.
However, I would suggest that you have yourself a ring around your local firms and agencies, or better still turn up in person as it shows initiative. A lot of firms get numerous call enquiries, so they tend not to give calls a second thought, but if you turn up in person they get the measure of you…but hey, try and put some work into your attitude and social etiquette skills.

In fact it is not just me, my boss at driver hire says he has been banned from this forum before
In fact I don’t even know why I am hear asking the question
coz when I speak to real drivers in real live (which is a rearity nowadays coz I think they are all Ws any way) there opinion of trucknet is one of the following
- Are they real truck drivers on the truck net
- They make me lath on that site so hard with there stupid little wines and stories that I fell like throwing up
- What a complete bunch of muppets
