3am start…More gas ,more trainees,more NYC
Normal stuff. Delivering and collecting plant (Excavators, Bulldozers, and demolition excavators mainly) from building/demolition sites and quarries. Most sites are within the same county or adjoining counties. Don’t use motorway too often as the work can be done on A roads just as quick (thanks to trusty GPS).
Bit different this week though. I move from a 2001 foden Alpha 3000 430 6x4 (XL) onto a 2005 Mercedes Actros (MP2) 3354 6x4. Get her Wednesday, but all my stuff is now in her as of tonight. Also moving from STGO CAT2 to STGO CAT3. The company got her cheap as she was ordered by another company and they cancelled. She is on 55 plates. Merc could not sell her (as she was not a mega space cab and is a 6x4) so we got her for about 65% of the original price and she only has delivery mileage on her. Not bad at all. Used to run an old 1997 STGO CAT3 Actros 6x4, But that was stolen and later found burnt out so was given the Alpha. Glad to get an Actros again. Normally pull extending Nooteboom 3 to 5 axle low loaders with all axles steering on the trailer. Easy work.

Talking about work, on monday i had fun. Picked up a excavator from a local qurry, all loaded up in no time, boss rings me ‘‘The ■■■■■■ van will be there in about 10 minutes’’ ‘‘Great, Perfect timing’’ i thought. 10 minutes was in the end 50. I only needed them because i was wide. I was only at about 52 tonnes so not too bad. Typical ■■■■■■ van drivers.

Sorry complete abuse of my Mods position but I don’t care. 
I had a long weekend (Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon) off work, of which i had food poisoning. So my sick leave is Tues, Wed, Thur) and back on Friday.
I’d actually have prefered to be working than go through that experience again, it was NOT nice 
Still. I’m better now. Honest. And I’m not infectious. It’s not as if it’s stomach flu…
