Who does Europe now

Thanks for the names, I will look them up on the web and see what they have to offer. I bet there is no chance of getting a Middle East run these days. That I would like. Cheers, Neil.

have you tried the firms out of archbolds in leeds…

im only joking i read your other thread sorry

I don’t think they’d have me back as i’d sell the truck in Italy for my lost wages. Do they still work out of Archbolds ? or did Beamish museum buy their trucks. I’d better be careful here as i’ve seen your pics (i think they were yours) and see that you work for Archbolds. They were fine by the way, it was just High Chaperal Haulage that were crap.

ha ha ha no its not me who works for them its rob k who does.

Yes, there are still a few that go abroad but I thought they needed to go abroad AND be worth working for. Now that limits it right down.

OI Jessies Pop…
Don’t knock Archbolds - they’re not that bad!
Seriously, they do seem half decent to me, up to now anyway.
If I fall out with them and go somewhere else, then you can slag 'em.
They pay good rates, european office is good, not bad overall.
I’ve heard stories from a couple stating the opposite, but then again, drivers will slag off their own mothers if they’re in that sort of mood won’t they?
One thing I don’t like is they can’t find loads out of Northern Italy on a Thursday.
Ah well, if that’s my only complaint about them up 'til now, I’ll keep my motors there for a while longer.
Ian.

ps…
You any relation to Jessicas Grandad?
Heard that name mentioned on Radio 2 the other week.
You buggers takin’ over, or what?

Hello everyone, I’m very keen to start driving in Europe again and am very keen on some real long distance work, Turkey, Greece etc. I have had next to no experience and have never made it passed Luxembourg and Maastrict. I feel that if i’m lost in France or Greece well i’m lost in a foriegn country so the distance isn’t an issue on the experience or lack of it. What i’m keen to find out is are there any companies that do these runs and what are they like to work for, I don’t mind being away and is my lack of experience an issue. I have heard that Matthews of Yarmouth goes all over the place but would like a few more company names to chase up. Cheers, Neil.

5 years ago could have given you a massive list but they all seem to have gone. Try Rogers in Northampton, never worked for them but heard they were ok. They have park a couple of wagons in philidelphia (houghton le spring).
Matthews is ok but Yarmouths a long way.
