Whitley Bridge J34 M62 £5

Stopped here the other night (well 2nd time to be honest) and I must say how pleasant the security guard was, £5 for parking or £15 with a £7 meal voucher for those on the fiddle (no point trying to explain this).
Yes its a chuffing long walk if your parked up top but I tend to pull in pay me parking and the rest of my stuff is taken care of by my in-truck equipment, oh and you can ■■■■ up the truck as well due to being far enough away from any girls with their camera phones who object.

Anyway i don’t do many plugs and to be fair haven’t sampled the food yet but its belt and baces bare essentials trucking for those who don’t need 5* accomodation and are self sufficient enough to be proper drivers…

Oh and keyfuels acceptd for diesel also…

For the sat nav reliant, come off at junction 34 of M62 (1st left if east bound, 3rd or fourth exit if westbound (■■■ knows)) head towards eggborough and turn left before the weight limit / railway/level/train thingy crossing.

Why would you ■■■■ up your wheel when there is a on site toilet block■■?
Parked there a few times, they do decent food too :sunglasses:
If you don’t mind the rumble of the passing freight trains i’d recommend it!!!
Oh and if you want a pint there is a pub across the level crossing :sunglasses:

tango boy:
Why would you ■■■■ up your wheel when there is a on site toilet block■■?

Because I like to ■■■■ up the wheel, and the toilets a long walk from up top. Dont care really though if the toilet was closer than the wheel I would still ■■■■ up me wheel.

Cheers will try the grub next time.

Oh and if you want a pint there is a pub across the level crossing :sunglasses:

Don’t drink when on duty as I get ■■■■■■ too easy…

Is there a cafe there now? Last time I was there it was just a caravan butty bar set up.
I used to park on the road in, on the Ind est, and have a pub meal, I heard that the truck park owner took a dim view of this, but it had ■■■■ all to do with him anyway.
Stopped going when pub shut down about 5yrs ago.

Yes mate there is a cabin style cafe and a toilet/shower block :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

If you like trainspotting & are to fat and lazy to walk beyond your wheels for toilet duty, then this is the truckstop for you.

Try going in on a summers day when the ground is bone dry. Must be nice to sit in a portacabin trying to eat with plumes of dust pouring in as a truck pulls up !!

Decent chippy and a local Spar near by as well. It is a long walk if you park down the bottom so can’t really blame drivers for cocking up on a wheel. Helps keep the dust down too

There’s been loadsa reports of diesel going missing from ppl parking outside. I’ve stopped inside plenty of times, it’s nice and quiet and only a fiver. I much prefer it over Whitwood is it? That place absolutely stinks and your rammed in like sardines.
