Yes I agree but if you have plenty of time try Lyon -Grenoble-Grasse-Monaco, nice run but takes a lot longer.
Where in Monaco are you going to?
Going down for the F1 racing! all being well!!
are you going by car ? if you go via paris then down the 6 to lyon its 80 odd mile shorter but depending on what time you hit paris as to whether your the hare or the tortoise
Going in a van, taking some stuff down as well, meeting some mates that are doing the touring thing.
AVOID PARIS!
You’ll be tempted to “Just pop in as we’re passing” and if you try and go inside the Peripherique, you’ll get lost. I did. 2 experienced courier drivers, 1 reading a map, the other driving, and we took 2 hours to get into central paris from the Southeast.
If you want a relaxed, boring drive, go Peage all the way. If you love driving B roads, then there’s plenty of choice. But definitely steer clear of Paris.
Don’t forget to take the Viaduc du Millau, it’s more or less on the way to the south of France.on the A75, which joins the south coast Autoroute an hour west of Marseilles, which will take you almost directly to Monaco, if you turn east…
A few links for you.
