i’d ignore that autoroute crap unless you are in a 7.5t or smaller. m1 to a14, a14 to a11, a11 to norwich, a47 to great yarmouth.

much easier. and quicker, but longer.

cheers roadhog

Sorry about that Roadhog - I had the Autoroute ‘crap’ set to the shortest route. I’ll think twice before I post a reply in future.

Watch out for me too…Dark Green DAF LF flat with CUSHION on the front in yellow…I’ll be sniffing round the A47 between Norwich and Dereham tomorrow.

a47 to great yarmouth.

But beware of the possibility of the Police cash machine on the Acle straight on the way into Yarmouth.

Ken.

You’re more likely too see it in the lay-bys on the Norwich Bypass in my experience…it’s not very often on the Acle straight.

Often one on the A11 somewhere too.

This is the way I’d go in to Wroxham from the A11 and out to Yarmouth afterwards…

…sorry about the quality.

I recall an incident last year, where,on my way to our customers premises at Lowestoft and Yarmouth,I was travelling down the ‘straight’ from the Norwich end, and, for some unknown reason,I had a 6th sense that they would be there.

In the distance,I was aware of a van in the lay-by before the steakhouse, and,as there was nobody else in front of me,I backed it right off to 40mph on the cruise control, and, sure enough as I got near to it,the cash machine was in operation.

The point in the law, where they are supposed to warn you by having a sign visible, was true, the only thing was,the sign was facing Yarmouth, not Norwich.

Yes,I know they are also on the Norwich by-pass,as the information is given out on Broadland FM during the breakfast show. (102.4FM■■?)

Ken.

and if your going down the a47 watch out at thorney were there building the new bypass as the feds are out making collections for the policemans ball

but i would go m1 /a14 /a11 to norwichround the norwich ring roadand up thea1151. if you do it ligit it should take about 4 hours.

then back to norwich roud the ring road and back onto the a47 for yarmouth

bringus a stick of rock back

Fair enough…they hunt everywhere, but more often on the bypass I reckon…probably more comfy for them there. :unamused:

Them ■■■■ police men have just gave me 3 points and £60 for there bacon butty kitty, clocked doing 87 on the way back from hold in scotland a few weeks ago ohh well. :unamused:

And whilst im here are these road angel things any good?

You know speed camera detectors?

Just as a slight side step, but still in the Norfolk constabulary vein…

I’ve also seen them on the overhead bridges on the concrete straight at East Dereham.

This is the way I’d go in to Wroxham from the A11 and out to Yarmouth afterwards…

…sorry about the quality.

I’d actually run round the southern bypass to Postwick, and run up past Sainsburys to the Wroxham road, it’s usually quicker and less hassle than fighting your way round the boundry…

But definitely, Wroxham first. After Wroxham, I’d consider following the road from Wroxham out to the coast, then south to Corton, since it’s north of the Acle Straight, you’d come into Yarmouth near it. Unless I’m mixed up with where Corton is? Is it nearer Lowestoft? Or is there 2 Cortons that way?

thanks all it was good day allround i went m1 a14 a142■■ (bad smash on there motorbike and a van) then into corton then up to Gorleston on Sea then last drop into wroxham jewsons the way it shows on that map.

the bartrums driver wernt happy as he caught that humpback bridge with his legs on the trailer, i wonder if there is another way in but there is loads of low bridges round there.

got my new hire truck thismorning a merc with a moffett v reg nice to have cruise and a stero that works properly
