Which truck??

Hi All,

Normally just do transport consultancy but finally decided to go out and buy a truck. To start with I am going to get a used one about 2010ish … can’t decide which manufacturer to go with though.

Anyone got any advice? Trying to keep costs down for first vehicle if I can.

I would go for a nice and tidy Volvo FH 12, comfortable cab and nice to drive.
You can pick up used Iveco Stralis for a keen price.
Scania are overated and over priced.
MAN prone to engine problems and water leaks on the EGR but are comfortable and cheap to buy.

Why don’t you ask a ‘Professional Transport Consultant’ sort of thing he would know.

For the money the premium is a good choice you’ll get a newer truck than scania or volvo and the at 10-12 plate you get a volvo drive line if you can try to get the way excellence cab and these usually have fridge and built in hands free handy if doing regular nights away
