Apart from who to marry this is one of life’s big decisions. You’ve saved long and hard to try and better your life but this comes with no guarantees.
So who to choose. Our 3 sponsors are a safe bet. 1 in Scotland 1 in the Midlands and 1 close to London. All very well established and all with good reputations.
Of course there are many others. Some very good some VERY bad. If you’re reading this and are thinking about becoming a driver look no further than the sponsors.
Most people choose on price and location. If the sponsors got together and agreed a unified price / content / quality for board members it would be a simple choice.

I’m a great believer in supporting local business, so if you have a local provider that offers a quality service at a reasonable price and comes recommended that should be your first port of call.

Think a lot of it is personal choice the 1 that is local to me I can not recommend although some people can
I’m not sure how paying to sponsor a forum elevates a company to be more trustworthy than a company that maybe doesn’t need to sponsor a forum,I’d certainly look for word of mouth recommendations over someone who throws a few quid at a forum to have their name in lights.
If the respected independent trainers got together and agreed a set of standards /code of conduct to make it easy for newbies to identify honest trainers it would be a simple choice.
FTFY, something I have been spouting on about for a long time. But it seems the willingness isn’t there to create an industry standard that could be recognised by those looking for training.

I assume Pete is maybe on about certain centres training wanna be instructors rather than the dsa? And he being one…
Been training instructors for the last 30 years so nothing new there. The test, in my view, has always been a formality for a properly trained instructor.
But there’s more to this than you intimate.

For me in Leicester Data Academy where far better then ATT in Hinckley. I’ve used Data academy twice once for class c and class C+E.
