Correct that was a typo! And brain cloud .

There’s a new one out from Mio in September:

thesatnavwarehouse.com/mio-s … 7lm-truck/

Have used Mio car units and they seem pretty good. Fair price too given most of the competition are £100+ dearer.

Must admit my Snooper a bit of a dinosaur now after 3 years. Might invest in a new one. Maybe! :grimacing:

Any of the tomtom truck ones they all use the same software, mine has never put a foot wrong. A word of caution check the address via a map google maps street view is handy.

5150 … really pleased with mine. I still have a quick look at the road atlas and google sometimes if I’ve been in doubt but the tomtom’s been right every time so far.

Like I’d said on another post, best thing I’ve bought in ages !

Looking to buy 5150 as well!
Why? Here’s an answer!

The major advantage over the TomTom 7100/7150/9150 Truck models is the FREE lifetime mapping updates. This means there are no further mapping charges or updates with the TomTom 5150 Truck.

Sat nav for large vehicles needs good “coverage” (maps to you and me) and tomtom have by far the best - covering Europe and the UK. Right now they make several truck models - the 7100, 7150, 9150 and now the new 5150. All use the same core “app” and the same “truck” maps. The differences between them are all to do with marketing, packaging, screen size and Subscriptions (how they can get recurring money from customers).

The 7 and 9 series tomtom’s were designed with large Fleets in mind as that’s the biggest market sector. However to get LIVE services there were costly add-ons required: monthly subscriptions and expensive extra dongles. You also have to pay for MAP UPDATES after the first year on them, plus the 7100 has a smaller screen.

What sets the new tomtom pro 5150 LIVE apart from these (perfectly good models) are two factors right now: FREE MAPS FOR LIFE (a super offer - that may end soon) and also FREE LIVE SERVICES for a year. The 5150 otherwise has Bluetooth, 5 inch Hi Def screen, pinch click, Speed cams, Magnetic Holder, Voice, Lane Guidance, HD Traffic and the rest.

This means that as this is written, there is no other TRUCK SATNAV or MOTOR HOME satnav to consider at all ! The FREE MAPS and the LIVE SERVICES make it excellent for general use, car use and large vehicle use. Its a versatile and full featured unit at a great price. If you need a good truck satnav to be reliable and cheap over time - this is the one to get - no contest.
