Which is the best satnav?

Advice needed as to which is the best satnav to invest my money in. How much does it cost and best place to buy?

I have the Snooper S2000 and wouldn’t be without it now.

My 6 year tomtom720 packed up and i bought a snooper s2000 and its a pile of s… compared to my old tt its not acurate and gets lost. the mileage and time leftwas very acurateon the tt where this p.o.s… is up to 30mins out on a 4 hr journey.mate has a tt max at half the cost
.its the best.

I use a Tomtom Go 730 with the truck map on it and am very happy with it.

I can’t comment on other makes as I’ve only ever used Tomtoms.

I love my Tomtom 540 running truck maps + navcore, but whichever you get, remember they are not perfect.

You can search the forums and find a million threads about this, but I’ll give you a few little bullet points.

As standard, the Tomtom truck maps believe there’s a 7.5t weight limit on the dartford toll, and a 13’3 height limit.
Anything that says 7.5t (including time plated ones and except for access) it will try and avoid, pain in the arse if you don’t know the area because you can add miles to get 100yrds inside the 7.5t except for access. So always just double check the route, if it shows a tiny bit of purple, click it and click map corrections, it’ll show what it thinks it is, if it’s a 7.5t, chances are you’ll be able to go that way.
Weight limits are changing all the time thanks to rich folk who don’t want juggernauts in their back yard (even though they bought a house on a main road - usually near a hub too), so keep an eye out, when they add a new weight limit, make sure you obey it, they get checked regularly when new.

i invested in a snooper 5000 truckmate, not let me down …yet
