Which is best?

I’d also go for the 4 on 4 off, you may find 12 hour shifts a bit hard at first if you’re not used to them but you should get used to them OK.

Monday to Friday for me, can’t beat a weekend. He’s a young 'un as well so there’s cider to be drank and knicker elastic to be twanged on Friday & Satday night.

Or when you get your licence, get another job doing 4 on 4 off in opposite shift pattern to the other job and it’s hi ho penthouse time. Get it in while your young! Just don’t crash the motor or it might be prorridge time.

After what I pulled last week, I don’t mind giving a few weekends a miss :open_mouth:   But i’m just getting as much money together as possible to get my licenses and stuff paid for, I may as well while I can :grimacing:

Harry Hill says FIGHT

I did 4on/4off 12hr shifts for years, I really liked it. Gave me plenty of time for my hobby.
However, when working the 4 shifts you can’t really do anything when you finish work as your normally knackered.
I used to get home, have a shower and something to eat watch telly for about an hour and then bed.

Take the 4 on 4 off, then you can get overtime by working one or two of your days off .

Well I’m back from Clipper, and still have no idea of what shifts I’m doing yet :smiling_imp: But it’s been an interesting morning to say the least. Went in this morning to fine the way I was walking was the wrong way and pedestrians had to go the complete opposite way to where I was walking, going past the container yard. Was worrying in case I went the wrong way but thankfully I got there early, in fact I got in the same time as the person from the training company arrived so had a quick chat with him when I was getting my pass to go through.

I’ve found out today that Clipper was originally only hiring one person, but instead was apparently impressed with all three of us so made two other positions available for us. So it’s nice to see big companies putting themselves out there to help job hunters like myself  The three jobs available are two Tesco contracts and one other contract, The Tesco contracts are the 4 on 4 off shifts which I’m hoping I’m going to get, with me living the furthest away out of the three I think I will be on the Tesco contract, but I can’t be too sure yet.

The only thing I can see ■■■■■■■ me off at the moment, is when I was leaving this afternoon to be told that I and my bag will be searched every time I leave the site. Which never happened when I was there before hand, but surely they can’t search me or my belongings every day :open_mouth: But apart from that, I can’t wait to get started  Get my uniform and what not next week as well as having my induction so have all of that to come yet :grimacing:

But right now, i’m having my lunch and cracking open the cider, so it’s just a case of sit back and wait until next week

Cheers
