Here’s one then. Lots of drivers see this ferry but very few lorry drivers actually use the boat.
Mallaig… next!
Isn’t Mallaig only accessible by ferry or foot? I’m sure I was there around 1988 and IIRC our bags went by boat while we went on foot!!

You must be right. 1988 was ‘hundreds of years ago’ and my memory isn’t what it used to be (AFAICR).
It is Mallaig, been there many times BY ROAD
The A830 runs down to Fort William and its always been a great road for bikers, even back in the 60’s when that was one of the routes to Skye before the bridge was built. The ferry from Mallaig goes to Armadale on Skye, not sure what vehicles it takes now but there was always a few trucks on it when I went accross.
I phoned someone who I remembered was on that trip with me!
We stayed in an outdoor pursuits kind of place that only had access on foot or by boat from Mallaig!! It was run by a chap who held the record for crossing the Atlantic in the smallest boat.
This is the place http://www.outdoorcentrescotland.co.uk/location.asp
