Which eu law would you ditch first?

Savid Javid has asked the public to say which EU Regulation they want to get rid of first.

What would you ditch first?

Yes because a system based on the ramblings of a drunk mathematician are so much better, maybe we should move away from metric tools too, “oi Gilbert pass me the 11 sixtytooeths by 4 and 5 eighths spanner please, oh and the next size up too just in case”

1 ltr = 1 kg
1000 ltr = 1 t
9 mil socket slightly to small grab the 10 mil…

Present drivers hours rules and regs, after re. thinking them into a simple non cluster ■■■■ of a system :bulb: .
Including cutting max hours and increasing min rest periods to bring us in line with Century 21…(and ■■■■ the teararse heroes who want to work 70+ hours) but bring wage structures and rates in line with the revised rules, so you do no longer in real terms, have to work a week + a half’s hours in a week, to live. :bulb:

Co.s could afford to do this, I don’t subscribe to this pleading of poverty they all come back with, where we have to subsidise their ■■■■ poor rates.
In other words use Brexit as an excuse to sort this whole rotten industry out. :bulb:

The law that keeps our wages low, whatever it’s called. I’m not sure but I KNOW it was the EU holding down the economy way below its full potential. I’ve spent the last week waiting by the phone for those £15/hr job offers I don’t know what’s taking the gov’t so long they promised £££ where my £££ ■■?

The one about EU cohesion fund contributions?
I guess leaving makes the case for not being cohesive

Also the one about banana curvature. I prefer them bending away from me

Free movement, in the sense of being in wage competition with workers from former Communist countries where a five-bedroom house in two acres of land can be purchased for £30,000.

Well, better get ready to welcome the next batch of “necessary workers”, from the land where a 5 bedroom house in 2 acres of land can be purchased for about £250…

Not so much a law but get out of the European Court of Human Rights, the run to court for malingerers, terrorists, criminals, etc.

The European Convention on Human Rights and its European Court of Human Rights are part of a completely different legal system to the EU. The ECHR and ECtHR are both part of the Council of Europe which has 47 member states including Russia and the UK.

So no go there !!

Soooo many to pick from.

VAT
Freedom of movement, driving down wages
Vehicle speed limiters - At least make it a round 60mph if you must limit them
Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) and Pre-Parity pay - Started in the EU and UK decided it seemed like a good idea.
Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) - EU issues quotas whether that nation’s fishing stocks would be sustainble with those levels or not, completely disregarding that own member state’s view on their own fishing stocks
European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization & Restriction of Chemicals - So public can’t buy effective Paint Stripper
Regulation to bring mandatory speed limiters to every new car sold in the EU from 2022 - Hopefully this will not be put onto our UK law books

No- Johnson knows he has one chance, and one chance only to get this right. He will be out in 2024 if he doesn’t.

Go back to having mobile workers do no more than 12 hour days or 40 hour weeks revise the drivers regs +WTD+RTD we don’t need all of these regs

Fruit & Veg any shape they don’t have to be perfect

No that’s still too small too try the 11 no still too small try 12.Don’t forget there’ll also be loads of 7,8,13,14,17,and 19 mil nuts and bolts on that piece of Kraut or French junk.

While 7/16,1/2 ,9/16 and maybe a 5/8 or 7/8 AF covers more or less everything on a proper Brit or American motor.

Let’s get this right so he keeps May and has choesn a cabinet full of Remainers and says we need a ‘transition’ period lasting 10 years while Remainer Javed says we can get rid of just one EU rule ( so long as he agrees ).We keep everything else

As opposed to let’s turn the clock back to 23.59 31/12/1973 by tearing up the European Communities Act.

So he screws the Brexit vote who are we going to vote for in 2024 that we couldn’t vote for in 2017 and 2019.Bearing in mind that we will still be subject to the ECJ rule then.
