Which dongle in france

Just been offered some work going over the water not been there in truck since 1993 and need some some advice on best way to buy dongle for laptop in france, every where i look seems expensive, will use free wifi when i can but need secure wifi with dongle sometimes.
Also what debit card doesnt charge for atm withdrawals in france i used to use nationwide but they stopped this.

As far as I know, the following offer free withdrawals abroad. Norwich & Peterborough B.S. , Santander Zero current account and Metro Bank.

Seems to me a lot of people are posting they have been offered work over the water just recently lets hope that things are looking up. Don’t use a British dongle abroad it will be expensive plenty of places now doing free wi-fy just ask around when parking. Don’t know about cards im a cash man myself.

France is a bit of a nightmare for buying mobile phones and dongles. You need an address etc before they will connect you even on PAYG. When travelling through i stick to using McDonalds, they wanted my life story when i tried to buy a dongle.

Just had a look and its 50 mb not 50 gb. BIG BIG difference!

Ive found the best way to get online abroad is with blackberry on vodafone euro data traveller. Its £10 a month for 25mb a day, which on a blackberry is quite a lot of data. The only hassle is viewing the web on the small screen.
Note though that if you connect the blackberry to your lappy it will then be just like a dongle and the bill for it will be horrendous when abroad.

TMobile do Euro-boosters for their U.K dongles abroad you select how much you want to use then it gets added to your account. Maybe not the cheapest but you know what you are spending because you have to keep authorising for extra data.
