Which castle? [Won by grahamA]

Peeping out from behind the trees is a castle, but does anybody know which castle this is?

The only clue for now is that it’s not in Wales.

Looks like the one at Carrick, Loch Goil, if so it is now a religious retreat right near where we load the timber.

No it aint Carrick, this is though …

Correct Raymundo, and it’s not Loch Goil.

Looks like the one you can see from the A75 just round the corner from Auchenlarie campsite.

Inveraray ?

Dunimarle Castle?

Sorry Mick, Punchy Dan and lightforce, it’s none of those you’ve mentioned. :frowning:

Its in Scotland going by the flag.

It looks like the small one you see just by stirling on the M9

Is it Dalhousie Castle ?

Yes, you’re correct… it’s in Scotland.

I’d already given away that it wasn’t in Wales though.

Sorry Colin, it’s not that one. :frowning:

Sorry lightforce, it’s not Dalhousie Castle. :frowning:

Time for an extra clue…

I’d only used the centre of a pic for the OP, so here’s a bit more…

raymundo will probably get this now. :frowning:

…but we’ll see!

Dont think I will get this one as all I know that it is on a navigavable stretch of water …

Wouldn’t have got here without a clue from your other post about ferry landings but is it Torridale castle on the Kintyre peninsular?

No trees surround it …

Stonefield Castle

Once again, not surrounded in close proximity by plenty of trees …
