Most trucks are assembled at a few major plants - but components are made Europe wide, no-one manufactures a truck from the ground up in one place

I know that DAF turbochargers are made in Romania, and that there have been quality issues with them.

not wrong their a O/D i know is now on his 4th in 18 months :open_mouth:

Aren’t most Scanias that head to UK and Ireland made in Angers France? As for my current Volvo I’ve no idea, be nice it it was built in Goat Town in Sweden though.

After a google search it appers it was made in Oshkosh, Wisconsin USA

Near Allentown PA…in 1999.

My freightliner was made in Mexico

Mine was made in the US before they moved production. I’ve had a few of the ones built in Mexico and they aren’t any worse, but then, you cant get much worse than a 25yr old ERF with a big cab anyway!

No the freightshaker name is well deserved. Mind you my one seems to have the reliability issues of a 1970s British leyland product thrown in.

ach kr79, only a couple o yrs tae go till you get PR . I had the same probs when i came over ,thought new volvo was good…mistake …ended up on a 2yr old cat powered KW and it was as old school as it comes ,she never let me down ever!.
