Wheres this....solved - Lonewolf

Taken last year about september time IIRC wheres this …

The scenery and the pot holed road say scotland
The railings say the A702 Dalveen pass.

alfaman…first sentence is spot on
dunno about the Dalveen pass (not heard of it before sorry) but the roads not the A702.

Close but no cigar sorry

small clue…alfaman is in the right area (sort of) just the wrong side of the blue line

A70

Is it somewhere on the 797 around Wanlockhead? I run to the old lead mines occasionally & it looks a lot like the climb alongside the burn on the way back towards the 74.

Not the A70 or the 797 chaps sorry. right sort of area though, another clue is the fact that this road is designated as…

Unsuitable for HGVs…just makes it a better challenge

it is an A road though without any other restrictions.

Its the A702 then

AlfaMan already said A702 Dalveen Pass and got a no, but thats what it looks like to me.

A72?

Occurs to me that Too has thrown us a curved ball. I meant the A702 the other side of the M74 but I now realise that there is A702 on both sides so being on the wrong side of the blue line could mean either side.

In which case I give you the A708 :stuck_out_tongue:

Lonewolf you are right, its the A708 heading from Moffat towards St.Marys Loch.

I met a motorhome coming the other way just after the photo was taken, needless to say he didnt WANT to reverse…
