That is the road from M56 to the M6, about half way along. Don’t know number.

I’m with the others A556 it is. I did it 3 times a week to Northwich at one time.

Beetie gets the point as he was first, but special mention to “use a name” for exact position, Mere Golf Club is indeed on the left.
And Suedehead, you are right it is an iffy junction especially when some businessman in his Jaguar wants to turn into the Golf Club.
