Nothing to do with Google - Whenever I open a photo on my desktop PC it comes up in the Windows Photos app, with the location highlighted on a map in Windows Maps (if the uploader has been silly enough to leave the location tag co-ordinates embedded in the photo…).

It takes only a few seconds to remove said tag (or better still, edit it to point to a different, similar location…)
