I used Photoshop to rotate it, though any half decent image editor will do the same
I don’t use an iPad but found this article which may be of use to you.

Well it kind of worked Tachograph. The problem with the I pad is that apparently no matter which way up you hold the device to take the photo it appears the right way up in your album. Rotating it as per the posted instructions merely puts it upside down in your album but has no effect when posting a pic, it still appears upside down!
After a bit of trial and error I’ve discovered that if anyone is taking a picture using an I pad with a view to posting that picture they MUST take the picture using their RIGHT thumb (hope that makes sense). If you do that, then the posted pictures appear the correct way up.
Hope that has helped anyone else struggling.
