When you say peages Gavin do you mean the T.I.R. Police control posts where it usually cost you a packet of Marlboro if you had a British number plate.

There was normally a Marlborough Kontrol just in front of the Tonkas in the photo, ( not T.I.R Kontrol) before you paid the toll, then there was a long grade to climb. Then on the other side at the bottom, just after you turned left, there was a T.I.R Kontrol where you had to cross over the road to get your Polis Paper stamped !!
