This photo must have been taken a while since as that airframe has been in storage at Redhill since 2007.

You must be at North Weald before it was sold.

Its a Fairchild C-119 nose

I’d have needed a time machine then as my motor’s a 59 plate :wink:

I dragged it out of the hangar at Redhill and took it to a bloke who’d bought it at a farm just off the end of the runway at RAF Wethersfield.

Sort of but I think Wolfie can claim the credit. He was spot on except for assuming I was before it got to Redhill.
