That is the River Rhine so Germany would be my first guess

Is that the original bridge before it got bombed during the Balkan conflict or its replacment.

Ive got some photos hidden away somewhere from virtually the same spot but with only part of the bridge remaining.

There was a floating bridge temporarily replacing it last time i was down there. (about 1994 ish IIRC)
