I’m new to this forum and pleased to find it. I hope you can give me some help to find a training company that others here can recommend.
I want to do a Rough Terrain Tele-handling course that doesn’t cost the earth.
At present I work for a national building supplies merchant in the yard. I have a counter-balance fork-lift truck licence and have driven lorries around the yard but do not have an HGV licence.
Am I right in thinking that the course I want is only provided by HGV training companies?
I have so far found that I need CSCS certificate and to gain CPCS certification.
I want to improve my skills and earnings potential. I am very bored where I am at the moment. Briefly looking in this forum I see that directly approaching local training companies rather than using the internet is the preferred method if possible. Can people comment on this?
Among others, I have contacted one company (via internet) who offer CSCS, CPCS and can help with job finding at a cost of £2200! Does this sound reasonable? It seems a lot to me. Is there any VAT on training courses?
One more thing, how will I distinguish between brokers/middlemen and companies who actually do the training ?
I live in the Stansted, Essex area. Could you recommend training providers in this area?
