Where is the best area in the Midlands for Tipper Work

As the title says I am just putting it out there to get people’s opinions as to where in the Midlands is the best area to look for Class 1 tipper/bulk haulage, recycling and walking floor work, as people will see from my past posts I have been looking around for a while now and so far to say I haven’t come up with a lot so I am therefore thinking I need to look further afield, now I don’t expect anybody to do the hard work for me but I am just after some ideas as to the best areas to go and look. Cheers

Quarries will use class one tippers for drops to concrete, tarmac and block making places. Farms also utilise a lot of class one tippers for bulk delivery to food processing plants. Obviously not going to be much demand in the centre of towns, but the outlying areas are much more likely to have hauliers specialising in that sort of work. You will also find scrap metal going to shredding plants or the docks areas for export.

Probably easier to seek out the industries that are likely to use bulk tippers, then look for the hauliers.

There are a lot of quarries in the Midlands area, but I would of thought Derbyshire would be the best bet some big old quarries up there!

I’d say East Midlands ( Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire ) there’s a lot of big Tipper operators / walking floor firms round here such as B J Waters , Fred Sherwoods /Bulkfreight , Fernwoods , Lomas Distrbution , N S Clarke and Ed Weetmans based in Staffordshire plus a lot of smaller firms based in around the area doing various work from Bulk aggregates , Grain/ Feed , Bulk scrap and coal .
