Absolute mug!
Finished at 14:30 hrs Friday, dont start until 0600 Tuesday. Screw weekends and BH’s… do enough in the week, weekends are for me regardless of O/T rates on offer.
Having said that I have spent all weekend painting the reception hallway, two sets of stairs and bannisters, the bedroom hallway upstairs and 7 bloody doors undercoated and glossed ! Back to work for a rest tomorrow, Croydon first load, Paddington second.
Despite damaging my lower back in the gym on the rowing machine this morning, I started at noon and was back in the yard by 4:15 with 8hrs paid

as you say I got the shunter , he was fine about it , no way was I going in that lot it must be 6/8 inches deep , shunter reconded it was where all the cars were originally parked and where all those trampers cars got flooded out , you’d of thought they’d of sorted the drainage as it isn’t that long ago that yard was concreted

I’m shut down early in Tamworth. The load I was supposed to collect has turned out to be 4.15m wide… it wasn’t booked as abnormal so no ■■■■■■ until tomorrow morning.

Bank holidays have been like this for me at least the past 3 years.
It’s great actually - I don’t get Bank holidays off on my contract, but it’s an easy shift for me, and there’s no problems getting a layby space to take any break one needs to either.
