in 2006 there was still old school bit
Some morons in Tofas were driving in wrong direction (or they were from Britain maybe and therefore they drove on the left side of the road) so I had to brake shaprly. And then I was too heavy to gain some speed again and I had to drive together with all that smokey lorries

Tell that to the young kids of today and they will never believe you.
I felt a bit sad when I saw the above photo.
So, to put a smile back on my face, Gearjammerâs and Bestbooties I thought I would put this old photo on again.
You have got to admit it, in a lot of places it looked a bit like this although I took this picture while going over Tarsus.
Mushroomman.
That photo may be of Tarsus but it is still like the Bolu I remember. In those days there were many hair raising roads. Bolu, Tarsus, Tarhir, Death Valley to name but a few. I am glad I donât travel those roads today if there are like that now. Whereâs all the fun gone??
That company UZUN ARAC must of been the biggest transport company in Turkey, heâs trucks were everywhere, we were always stuck behind one of them.
( or did it mean large vehicle )
I see that in the past turkish trucks were light loaded
This one is an average one, and there was still plenty of mushroom-type loads in 2006
(this is an extreme example of that what we call âmushroom-type loadâ
This was the âDeath valleyâ side of Bolu as I remember it.
i was running over bolu 96 -2001 & there was motorway ever side but bolu its self was still as mushroom mans photo shows it. what a nightmare tryin to get round them tonkas crawlin up & down & what fun it was in the snow happy days
